The tree overview window provides a secondary display of the entire tree scaled to fit the current overview window size.
The outline in the overview window represents the current visible portion of the Tree window. You can drag and move this to navigate around trees that do not fit onto one screen.
Shaded Leafs can also be set (as in the above example) using Tree Display Settings and would be applied to the Tree overview as well as to the outcomes on the Tree window itself.
